H2. Single Historical Case Analysis

Description:
This lesson will help students analyze a single historical case. Students will practice placing events in context and looking at events from multiple perspectives.

To Teachers:

  • Select a theme from EASE History. The Civil Rights Movement is used in the example.
  • Create groups of 3-4 students.
  • Give each group a worksheet.

Materials:
Worksheet1 Word document | PDF
Worksheet2 Word document | PDF

Worksheet Instructions:

  • Go to EASE History http://www.easehistory.org/
  • Search on Civil Rights Movement in EASE History.
    Go to [EASE History Historical Events>Protest Movements>Civil Rights Movement]
  • Select a case from the Civil Rights Movement.
  • Complete the Historical Thinking Guide .
