H3. Evaluating Sources

Description:
This lesson will help students analyze the reliability of the source.

To Teachers:

  • Create groups of 3-4 students.
  • Give each group a worksheet.

Materials:
Worksheet Word document | PDF

Worksheet Instructions:

  • Go to EASE History -- http://www.easehistory.org/
  • Search on your assigned Core Values theme in EASE History. [EASE History Core Values>]
  • Column 1: Select six cases that you think would be interesting to evaluate.
  • Column 2: Evaluate the sources on a 1 to 7 scale. (1= unreliable, 7= very reliable).
  • Column 3: Briefly explain, 1 to 2 sentences, your reliability rating of each source.
